Update

Nothing has been changed since the last update.  Except I found out that Angel ate Precious' poop.  Apparently there is often the case for puppy mill dogs (to keep crate clean or to have enough nutrients or keep away from being so hungry all the time).  Well, I have more work to do!

Angel now barks all the time when we are eating dinner because she wants some piece of it.  Precious has not eaten from my hand yet.  Keep trying..

Eating and barking

Wow.  It seems more and more starting to happen.

This morning Angel started barking and wagging her tail at the same time when she saw us.  We never heard her barking.  She was even barking when we are eating because she wanted some of our dinner!  Funny.

And Precious is eating front of me!  She still does not eat from my hand but she is not waiting for us to be in bed.  Big improvement.  Exciting.  Below is the picture when I took photo of Precious eating.

Weekend

Fuzzy enjoyed her day out with snow at our friend's house (of course we did too).  She is still so afraid of Precious and Angel.

This is the picture of me trying to give hamburger piece from Bagger Dave's (yum).
Angel is now no problem taking food from me or Fred.  Today, she was even growling since we did not givve her quick enough!  What a progress.

Precious is still scared of us so she does not take food from us.  :-(  A bit more work!

That is it for the day.  Additional photo of how Angel sleeps.

Progress!

This morning, I tried to give some chicken breast to Precious and Angel.  Precious smelled out of my hand but did not eat it.  I tried to Angel and she ate it from my hand!!  I am sooooooooo proud and happy!  A baby step... now I see how they are coming along.

I cannot believe it has been a week since their arrival and how much my day to day has changed.  Oh, it is for the better.  (Not our house though.  Now it is a mess!!)

Can you tell why this photo is such a big deal to me?  Because Angel is standing up when I am around!  I am so excited.  They are really coming along after all.  It makes me so happy that we are fostering.

Before and after....

Well, continued from OMG...

This is how it looked before last night.
Then this is after...

Can you tell the differece?

Then I cleaned it again but once I come back from gym..

They are coming along slowly but surely so I should just enjoy the quiet moment right now.

OMG!!

I was in other room (Precious and Angel are in b'fast area) to do computer for a while then I have heard so much noises so I went to see it.

THEY WERE PLAYING!!  Even "I am so fragile and can't move" Angel!

She was busy moving her bed to the other side.  I just can't help but to smile.  I hope they can move around even when they know we are around.

Maybe soon??

Getting better??

Yup, it is official.  Angel is in heat.  A stain on my shirt (to work!) has proven it.

So that means you have to go to a vet later... Oh, you look so disappointed but you are not missing anything :-)

Do you see Precious on back??  She is that way when I got too close to her too quickly.

So there were good poops today and eating MUCH MORE food.  Soon they will have potbellies!

What do you think..Precious?

Oh, don't worry.  You will be cute potbelly!

Day 4

Today, I woke up to see all foods gone and used training sheets!  Great.

Precious is still scared but let me hold her a bit this morning.

I saw Angel looking up and following what I am doing!  She is getting stronger or what??  I am so exicted.  Now she is sitting on my lap sleeping.  (I am trying to get her used to me)

Hope tomorrow will be better than today.

Day 2 and 3...Still in shock..

Angel is much more shocked than Precious.  All she does is sleep.  I am begining to worry that she is not going to make it.  I thought "please don't let her be the real angel.  She needs to have wonderful home to learn how to be loved"  Well, she is a fighter.  She manages to eat while we are sleeping.  Keep going, girl!

Precious is very curious but scared of humans.  I saw her eating and saw her tail wagging a bit when she was sniffing and looking around the play pen.

Day 1: Picking them up

So this is what actually happened.  I always wanted to foster dogs since our baby dog, Fuzzy is adopted by the rescue group.  Fuzzy was rescued from puppy mill.  We love her and wanted to give same chance to another dogs.  My hubby was not so into fostering but he agreed thinking that we will get puppies.

So here is the photos of our fostering dogs (front= Angel and Precious = behind, ) getting all checked out.  Weight: both weighted 9.7 pounds (so small!!  Our Bingo, chihuahua is over 10 lbs).  Bad skin condition (especially Angel, darker one).  Bad ears (not sure if they have ear mites).  Nails too tangled with poop and matted hair to be trimmed.

Here is one of tags attached to Precious and Angel... Just a number... makes me very sad.  My 10 year old said "we must give them special names... not numbers, mom"  It made me so proud of him!  Actually he was the one named Angel and Precious.

Once we got home (after 12:30 am!), we gave medicine and flea bath.
